Xinha
The Community-built Open Source Online HTML Editor.
Xinha is a powerful WYSIWYG HTML editor component that works in Mozilla based browsers as well as in MS Internet Explorer. Its configurabilty and extensibility make it easy to build just the right editor for multiple purposes, from a restricted mini-editor for one database field to a full-fledged website editor. Its liberal licence makes it an ideal candidate for integration into any kind of project.
Xinha is Open Source, and we take this seriously. There is no company that owns the source but a community of professionals who just want Xinha to be the best tool for their work.
NicEdit
NicEdit is a Lightweight, Cross Platform, Inline Content Editor to allow easy editing of web site content on the fly in the browser.
NicEdit Javascript integrates into any site in seconds to make any element/div editable or convert standard textareas to rich text editing.
Wyzz
Wyzz is an ultra-small, very light WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Editor for use in your web applications. It’s written in JavaScript, and is free (as in speech and as in beer) for you to use in your web applications and/or alter to your needs (see the licence conditions).
There are quite a few WYSIWYG editors around, many of them free – and some of them, such as FCK Editor, TinyMCE and others, are really excellent. Unfortunately, most of them are quite heavyweight applications in their own right.
Our goal with Wyzz is to create an Ultra-Lite (<10k!) WYSIWYG editor that’s also a breeze to implement.
Unfortunately, it therefore won’t have all of the functions of the more complex editors; but in many application, these are superfluous anyway.
widgEditor
widgEditor easily customisable
widgEditor is an easily installed, easily customisable WYSIWYG editor for simple content. It replaces existing textareas with an improved editing pane using JavaScript, therefore if you don’t have JavaScript (or your browser doesn’t support HTML editing) it degrades gracefully. Try it out by typing below, and submit to see the processed output.
The widgEditor code is released under a GNU General Public License. However, if you are planning to use or modify the code for usage on a web site, a donation is greatly appreciated.
HyperTextArea
HyperTextArea is a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editor that can be integrated into your web pages. Generally, you will use it in place of a textarea element where you want your users to be able to type nicely formatted text without knowing any HTML.
TextArea Rich
Textarea Rich is a fully functional free replacement for your existing textarea HTML tag.
SPAW
SPAW Editor is a web based in-browser WYSIWYG editor control enabling web site developers to replace a standard textarea html control with full-featured, fully customizable, multilingual, skinable web based WYSIWYG editor. Version 2 adds tabbed multi-document interface, floating/shared toolbars, modular architecture and many other exciting features.
